After working at least 200 hours in an entry-level position, students can apply for the program, where each chooses a path that fits his or her specific interests. Within the structured tracks—through the rooms division, food-and-beverage division, or a support department such as human resources, sales and marketing, or accounting—each student works with hotel leaders to customize a path that works for him or her. Students have the flexibility to spearhead projects that align with their passions, and they can adjust their goals as they advance. Through cross-divisional training and a series of for-credit classes, HLDP participants get a holistic view of hotel operations. Students build lasting connections with staff and fellow students and become some of our most engaged alumni.
