Audit of all signed active and pending contracts with financial commitments. Dual signing authority for checks disbursed over $10,000. (Recommendation: dual signature by Treasurer and President). When the Treasurer adds a new vendor/payee for automated bank bill payment, controls should be put in place whereby an automated email to the President from the bank, informs him/her of the new biller. At any time, the President may ask the Treasurer for external (e.g. bank statement and contracts) or internal (e.g. accounts receivable aging report) information to validate the integrity of the financial controls under the Treasurer's purview. The Treasurer must respond to this request within seven (7) business days. Page | 70
